Learn MoreMy Monthly was inspired by my relationship with my long term boyfriend, realizing how little he knew about my menstrual cycle frustrated me. And how little I knew as well, made talking about my period, and other aspects of reproductive health that much harder. This is also one of those “locker room” topics that always comes up, but has never been addressed; teaching your partner to have more empathy.
How do you stay motivated?My Monthly is a product I wish I always had. Just knowing that the app will help facilitate difficult conversation in so many relationships keeps my team and I going. We believe in the what we’re creating as well as the impact it will make. I am also bootstrapped with a team of 10 whom I continue to motivate each and every day.
What would you do with the $25,000?The money will go towards building a novel machine learning database for couples period suggestions. Our patent pending feature is called the “cheat sheet” where we use our algorithm to suggest actionable items for both the person who menstruate, and their partner. Incorporating AI/ML to this feature will help make the suggestions increasingly accurate and catered toward each user.
