Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

I was inspired to open Collaborative ABA Services, LLC due to the increase in individuals impacted by Autism and shortage of ABA Services in the community. In working in the field as a School Social Worker and Behavior Analyst, I realized access to services for individuals with Autism was limited, resulting in lengthy waitlists. I also realized there was a shortage in providers that were experienced in working with individuals on the spectrum, which was also a barrier in accessing services.

How do you stay motivated?

What drives and inspires me is being able to make an impact on the lives of others as a professional in the field. I admire our great staff and their commitment to improving the lives of the families we serve. I am also motivated as a parent of a child with Autism in addition to family members with Autism. Being able to work in the field of ABA in my role has been a humbling experience that continues to fuel my passion for working in the field.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won $25,000, the money would be used to fund future projects and services as we are mostly insurance funded. Over 80% of our client population is Medicaid. Unfortunately, Medicaid reimbursement rates are lower than private insurance rates, which impacts our company budget and operations. Despite the low reimbursement rates, we continue to provide access to quality services to all children and families in the community.
