Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My children are my inspiration for everything I do in this life. Everything I do is for them. When I realize how burning candles in the house was affecting their health (nasal congestion, respiratory issues, migraine) and mine too, that's when I decided to create a candle safe for us and the environment.

How do you stay motivated?

To give children and grandchildren a better future. I want my business to be successful so that I can leave them a legacy. Another motivator is to help families just like mine that want to enjoy candles at home but can't because of all the health risks in a lot of the candles out there. Some candles have phthalates, carcinogens like benzene and toluene which have been linked with lung cancer and asthma. Our candles are made with organic olive oil wax, coconut wax & 100% cotton wicks

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would hire someone to help optimize my website, marketing and social media. Upgrade equipment to work faster on production. Get supplies to have enough inventory (including shipping) to showcase on HSN and be able to become a vendor for high-end Spas and large department stores that require a large inventory. Having a small warehouse would facilitate this step. I would pay six months in advance and that would give me time to work on production
