Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

In business I am inspired by an entrepreneur named Raynell Steward, the owner of The Crayon Case Cosmetics. I have followed her journey for so many years and to watch her grow a multi-million dollar business from the ground up, showed me that as a black female business owner, I am able to conquer and have a successful business of my own. She encouraged me to start my own skincare business, so I decided I wanted to help other women of color gain more confidence and to love on their skin.

How do you stay motivated?

Everyday isn't a good day but with my faith and strength in God, that's what motivates me. As a mother of 2 children, one that's in college and one in junior high school, I want to show them that through hard work, determination and dedication, they can be successful at whatever they decide they want to accomplish. I also become more motivated whenever I see my customers fall in love with their skin all over again and the amount of confidence they have.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Whenever I win the $25,000 I am going to put it towards marketing and advertising, I will also be purchasing more inventory for my skincare company, hiring someone that can help me structure my business properly and to make sure that I am moving in the right direction in order to gain more success. Spring and Summer will be approaching soon so I would also us some of the money to travel to different events and have my own skincare booth set up.
