Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from my friends and family, who uplift and motivate me, as well as my passion for interior design, where scent adds a sensory texture to any space. I’m also driven by the need to create eco-friendly, non-toxic, and sustainable products that address global challenges like pollution and climate change. As a BIPOC LGBTQ+ male, sharing our stories is empowering, paving the way for the next generation to face fewer barriers than we did.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by building a legacy for my family. Having spent a lifetime working for others, I’ve seen the sacrifices of time and energy for someone else’s valuation of our worth. Through my business, I am redefining that worth for myself and my loved ones. While some may see “just candles,” to me, it’s about creating meaningful experiences, breaking cycles, and leaving something enduring for future generations.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would focus on scaling my business by investing in marketing strategies to increase brand visibility and attract a wider audience. I would expand my product line to include more innovative and sustainable home fragrance options, catering to diverse customer preferences. Additionally, I would enhance production capacity, creating jobs that support the community and provide opportunities for others. This funding would fuel growth while fostering economic and social impact.
