Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My biggest inspiration in my business is my community; where I grew up. I want to bring opportunity and access together. I started my own profit that helps young adults find employment and housing. I provide jobs, job skills, and housing resources. In conjunction I started my own food business to keep the non profit sustainable, supply the jobs, and provide a stable income for individuals. My target population are people of color, felons, homeless and at-risk individuals.

How do you stay motivated?

I grew up in bottom of South Seattle. Going through what I had to go through to try and make something of myself, and now raising kids I vow to never be a victim of my past or circumstance. I was raised in an abusive house hold with 11 foster kids. I was homeless at 17 and managed to go to college, build a business, and mentor others. My main goal was to help young adults struggling like I was by providing an opportunity to be successful they have access too.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest $5k into an account to gain interest. I would pay rent on a ghost kitchen for the year, get a new delivery vehicle, better equipment for pop-ups ie… food cart, promotional ads, and marketing. I want to teach and feed more people. Buy a Meal, Save a Life.
