Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

It allows me to be expressive in the type of work I do. My mom use to do hair & taught me at a young age how to braid & my father has taken on many entrepreneurial roles since I was child. So I allowed what both of my parents did professionally become my dream/reality. I always wanted to do something that was meaningful & impactful.

How do you stay motivated?

My children keep me motivated. One of my biggest goals is to create generational wealth for my kids & the family they will one day create & so forth. I set goals to keep me motivated & it acts a reminder of the goals I need to achieve within a timely manner. I also believe in taking breaks. Breaks are needed to avoid stress & mental health issues. Recharging is essential. The everyday challenges, positive or negative, faced as being a business owner allows me to grow and learn.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With the 25,000 I would rebrand and expand my business. Right now I own a salon/boutique, which has 3 suites & an area for clothing. I would like to expand it to where I can have multiple suites. Being a new business owner, it is more complicated trying to get loans to help better my business future. I would start my next business venture that I have in mind in starting. It’s hard being a single mom of 2 trying to complete as many tasks & trying get approved for business loans
