Who or what is your inspiration in business?

Robert F.Smith. He gave a talk describing what intellectual property is and its costs relative to real estate property. His comparison was revelatory. He has put me on this path toward entrepreneurship. Troy Carter, who is also from Philly. We were peers. I watched him make all the right moves while i made some bad choices. Watching his rise has been extremely inspiring to me. I went back to school in order to speak to Troy at the level his experience requires.

How do you stay motivated?

My daughter Serene is my greatest motivation. Ive been a single dad since the day after her 1st birthday. She is now 16. She has been the greatest blessing, lesson and life change that I never saw coming. As she nears adulthood, her future and security are my greatest motivators. To not provide it is FAILURE, as a father and as a man.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I presented this business outline to Troy Carter who loves it. He made it clear he invests in businesses, not ideas. I will use this money to build the MVP for Ndustry.org, the solution for independent artists looking to find monetary support for their art. It is a completely new vertical that can sustain itself completely outside of the channels controlled by the traditional music business. I will use this money to demonstrate how.
