Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

I have many sources of inspiration. My mom, for one, who raised 4 girls as a single parent and became an entrepreneur. The families I work with; I am always inspired to do better, give back and find ways to help families in our communities. I have intrinsic inspiration when I think about my kids...I want to be a good role model and show them that they too can achieve anything they set their minds too. My work colleagues - I work with the most compassionate, hard working bunch who inspire me.

How do you stay motivated?

I am not exactly sure what keeps me motivated. I just know when I really believe in a goal that I have set for myself, I am like a terrier with a bone...nothing stops me! But I do have days when I have felt like giving up! When this happens, serendipitously I always seem to have a previous client or someone I have helped, who ends up sending me a note to let me know how I helped to make a difference; that is always a boost to get up, dust off and keep going.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I am building an app that will help families have access to affordable legal information, where 100% of the user proceeds will be donated to domestic violence prevention programs. I have partnered with "Sagesse.org", for this purpose. I have been self funding the build of this app. This has caused this project to take longer than expected because of the amount of capital required to complete this project. I would use the $25,000.00 to move to beta test and finally launch the app!
