Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

I saw a young mother bathe her child with polluted tap water during the Flint water crisis. I have children of my own and saw myself in that position. I decided that I would create affordable & available solutions for clean water & cleaner environment to anyone, anywhere. Also, my father, a Purple-Heart Korean Conflict veteran and entrepreneur and my mother, a matriarch of our community, taught me to leave things better than I found them and never give up.

How do you stay motivated?

I really enjoy creating new things that help people. This journey empowers me to do it. For people myself , for those that I love and care for, and all people everywhere, clean water and a clean environment will directly and positively impacted all our our lives. I've learned that just being able to chase my dream is a privilege. And my graduation from the Techstars Watertech and Sustainability accelerator gave me family who all support each other, create founder/CEO support, and community.

What would you do with the $25,000?

We would use the funds to support upgrading our pilot unit which turns wastewater from the ag and beverage industry into drinkable water! Think of it... zero waste, environmental protection, AND less expense in running the business to create JOBS!
