What is the Entrepreneur of Impact?
Learn MoreWe decided on Caribbean-inspired tacos due to my wife's Barbados heritage and tacos because they are a great handheld meal when on the go or at a festival. We hope to be an inspiration and example of a young, black-owned business for other aspiring entrepreneurs.
How do you stay motivated? We are motivated by our two sons, Noir, 3, and Nysir, 1. We want to continue building a business that provides for them and their future.
What would you do with the $25,000?We would invest the $25,000 into rebuilding our commissary kitchen and workshop. We started this project with our own savings in 2023, but a tree fell on it and caught on fire during a storm and straight line winds. We didn't have enough insurance coverage to replace it and haven't had all the money to afford the rebuild. Finishing this project would give us and other food entrepreneurs a licensed kitchen to continue to grow our businesses.
