Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from my mom, who left Ghana with courage and dreams for a better future. As a single mother, she worked tirelessly at Wal-Mart to raise me and my two sisters, showing me the power of resilience and sacrifice. Her strength fuels my drive to create a legacy through Perfectly Satined—empowering others, especially women, to embrace beauty and confidence while honoring our roots and overcoming challenges. I want to empower others, to embrace beauty and confidence.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by remembering my mom’s sacrifices and the vision of making an impact in my community. Seeing my brand empower others and celebrate individuality inspires me daily. Every milestone is a step closer to funding scholarships and after-school programs—a dream rooted in giving back to young minds, just as my mom invested in mine. Challenges aren’t setbacks; they’re stepping stones to purpose.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I’d expand Perfectly Satined to reach more customers and develop new product offerings that champion inclusivity. This funding would support eco-friendly innovations, enhance marketing, and lay the groundwork for scholarships and youth programs. It’s about more than growth—it’s about creating a ripple effect, showing the next generation that success is amplified when it’s shared and used to uplift others.
