Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

Who inspired me to start and run a small business is my daughter and my husband. After experiencing job loss due to the pandemic, my husband challenged me to dive deep and reunite that feeling of beauty. My daughter inspires me to keep going and the constant drive to be an example to her and show her that women can be successful in business. My clients also inspire me to continue to redefine beauty, and push through the boundaries of an exceptional hair care experience.

How do you stay motivated?

My husband is my biggest supporter. He is the quiet voice behind my business. He reminds me that great things take time to flourish. It’s moments like that that helps me to stay motivated to push through the obstacles of a small business owner. Also, I believe in self-education therefore, I do a lot of research such as reading blog articles, watch videos, read business books and listen to business podcasts.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Here is what I would do if I won the 25k: * 10K - Reopen my salon suite; I had to shut it down last year due to unforeseen circumstances. I would spend 6k on the first 6 month of rent. The remanding 4k would be used to decorate and create a relaxing environment hair care experience. 5k Products & Supplies 3k Marketing 2k Education 1k Donations Rebundle (Braid Better) 4k Savings/ reinvest back into business
