Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My husband is my inspiration. His introduction into competitive bodybuilding as a teenager of a single mom living in an underprivileged part of SF kept him off the streets and instead gave him the drive and motivation to make a career from fitness. His passion is still alive 47 years later, not only helping his personal training clients with their fitness journey, but also always finding time to mentor youth who are in need of a leg up to find their way in life.

How do you stay motivated?

Watching and helping our gym members from all stages of their lives transform themselves from self doubt and hesitation, to confidence and joy in their health and fitness journey, is a daily source of motivation.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the $25,000 to start a meaningful and sustainable sponsorship program for youth in our community, to teach them the importance of health and fitness, and to be able to show them how being in a positive environment can improve the course of their lives, just as it did for my husband as a young man.
