Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My son is my first inspiration. My second comes from the people impacted by autism and other disabilities who I've been honored to serve in a wide variety of previous jobs and now through my business, for three years so far. I have been blessed to find opportunities to support individuals in the context of their families and communities to maximize their opportunities in the face of adversity. Every win for them is a win not just for me but for the disability community of Greater Kansas City.

How do you stay motivated?

One person at a time! Who did I get to help today? How did that change their life? Is there fuel in the tank to serve the next person? I just love looking for the next opportunity to change someone's outcomes and help them relieve their pain. Honestly, there is so much need to share awareness and bring hope in the disability community that I never run out of paid or unpaid work. I try to balance it out so everyone that can share does and those that need help get it. My paying clients know this.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I will leverage the principal and join forces with other projects that are adjacent and complimentary to the work I do. We will use that funding to partner with organizations and not-for-profits to provide some in-kind support to fuel their grant proposals for projects so we can create exponential results. Then we will do the work and charge reasonable rates for those who can afford it and offer partial scholarships to those who are not able to pay market value. Growth mindset required!
