The incredible resilience and adaptability of the queer community is my inspiration. At Queers and Allies Fitness, we embrace change as a strength, creating a safe, inclusive space where everyone can thrive. Our mission is to empower individuals, fostering both physical and emotional well-being. Every day, I get to be part of a dynamic, encouraging environment that fosters and celebrates diversity, transformation, and growth.

How do you stay motivated?

The gratitude and testimonies of belonging and personal growth shared with me by gym members both drive and humble me. When I hear these stories, I am reminded of the profound impact this space has on all our lives-and how crucial it is to provide a safe environment for our community. Even in times of hardship and challenge, our gym family thrives because we come together, and it motivates me to ensure Queer and Allies Fitness will continue to flourish.

What would you do with the $25,000?

The $25,000 would help expand our operations, as well as complete the development of a specialized course for personal trainers to support clients preparing for gender-affirming top surgery. Next on the horizon is our goal to support queer youth, who endure some of the highest risks of crisis and suicide. We aim to kickstart a queer-friendly youth sports league, fostering inclusivity and empowerment from a young age. Your vote will help us transform lives and build an even stronger community!
