Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My business, Xpressions of Art, was inspired by my sister, who once doubted whether art would sell at an auction, we discussed for a nonprofit she runs, where I serve on the board. Determined to prove her wrong, I bought paint and began creating in my basement, determined to craft something people would love. What started as a personal challenge turned into a thriving venture fueled by passion and creativity. Today, I have my own art studio and have proudly made this my full-time career.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated through my unwavering determination to make my name known in the art world. Creating one-of-a-kind, unique pieces fuels my passion, as each artwork is a reflection of my vision and individuality. The thought that the right opportunity for recognition is just around the corner keeps me pushing forward. Every step in my journey, from my basement beginnings to now owning a studio, reminds me that persistence and creativity will lead me to the success I’m striving for.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would invest in supplies, marketing, and expanding my studio to create more space for my art and host workshops for individuals with disabilities, With my husband’s unwavering support and my role as a mother to a son with autism, This grant would allow me to grow my business, while inspiring others to express themselves through art. This funding would not only elevate my business but also allow me to make a meaningful impact by inspiring others to pursue their creative drea
