Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

The inspiration in business is our children. We live in a world where kids are not always encouraged to embrace their true selves. With so many spaces asking them to fit into a one-size-fits-all, my hope is to inspire them to confidently show up as they are. By teaching vital social-emotional life skills in our Just Breathe classes both in and after school, we aim to empower our kids to navigate life authentically and with confidence.

How do you stay motivated?

Staying motivated comes from remembering why I started Just Breathe for Kids. The athlete who repeats a mantra before a game to help him calm his nerves. The gamer who “takes a deep breath when time is up so that I don’t get mad.” The rule follower who “practices tree pose daily to help them remember that it’s ok to fall.” The teachers face when I share the often-labeled student lead the entire class in 3 breaths. What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would invest in expanding Just Breathe for Kids to reach even more kids. This could include developing new programs, creating additional resources for social-emotional learning, upgrading materials for events and camps, and we would finally be able to offer scholarships for families. We would also explore opportunities to train more instructors, so our mission can expand. The mentorship with Mr. Daymond would be life changing for Just Breathe for Kids and our Kids!
