Who or what is your inspiration in business?

Entrepreneur Daymond John embodies the American dream for African Americans. I’m old enough to remember following his journey and buying FUBU when it was just a T-shirt company. He and his partners made us believe that we could build a future, support our families, and thrive through our creativity and dreams.

How do you stay motivated?

My family and local community are my inspiration. I want to show young kids that there are many paths to success in addition to sports. Academic achievement will also improve their lives and uplift their neighborhoods. Today, children that show “A’s” on their report card receive free ice cream at my neighborhood Coffee & Ice Cream Parlor, Light & Sweet.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I currently own and operate a small business consulting group Trilogy Business Solutions, two event spaces The Living Room and The Nook. Recently, I launched Light & Sweet - Coffee and Ice Cream Parlor, I aspire to franchise the brand in the future, providing more jobs and opportunities for people in the Bronx, NY, and further. I will also offer additional resources and organize more charity activities to support the community.
