My inspiration for sustainable business in Africa stems from witnessing local communities' resilience and the need for innovative solutions to resource challenges. Initiatives like M-KOPA in Kenya, which provides affordable solar power, show how sustainability drives social progress. In the DRC, my work on biodiversity conservation highlights how ecotourism boosts incomes while protecting nature. I’m inspired to develop scalable solutions that integrate the Water-Energy-Food nexus.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by focusing on the positive impact my work can create for communities and the environment. Seeing tangible results, such as improved living standards or successful conservation efforts, inspires me to keep pushing forward. I also set clear goals and break them into manageable steps, celebrating small achievements along the way. Learning from challenges, collaborating with others, and staying connected to my purpose,driving sustainable change,keep me energized and committed.
