Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration to go into business emerged while I was working as a travel nurse on the COVID-19 units, responding to the crisis. Witnessing the urgent need for better solutions firsthand, I realized that waiting for someone else to solve the problems I had answers for wasn’t an option. Taking matters into my own hands, I committed to creating solutions, like the StatPatch. This experience ignited a profound passion within me to innovate relentlessly, and solve problems.

How do you stay motivated?

My motivation stems from a deep dissatisfaction with the status quo. Everywhere I look, I see problems that need fixing. This fuels an insatiable drive within me to seek out and implement solutions. I yearn to be revolutionary, to create seismic change in every endeavor I undertake. It’s this relentless pursuit of betterment that propels me forward, inspires innovation, and defines my approach to business.

What would you do with the $25,000?

We need the $25,000 to conduct a clinical trial ensuring the StatPatch accurately performs triage on people of all colors. This funding will allow us to collaborate with a historically Black university’s nursing school, aligning with our passion for equity and giving students the chance to engage in cutting-edge research. The study will validate the StatPatch technology’s effectiveness, covering researcher fees, participant recruitment, data collection, and analysis.
