Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration for my business and approach comes from Madam C.J. Walker, an iconic African American entrepreneur and philanthropist. As one of the first self-made millionaires in the U.S., Walker built her fortune by creating a line of beauty and hair care products specifically for African American women. Her innovation approach to business and marketing, combined with her commitment to uplifting her community, serves as a powerful example of the impact one can have through entrepreneurship.

How do you stay motivated?

I’m motivated by God first. Inspiration of Madam Walker, involves embracing her relentless spirit & commitment to empowerment. I remind myself of her journey, understanding that challenges can lead to growth & innovation. Setting clear goals & celebrating small victories keeps me focused. Surrounding myself with a positive network of like-minded individuals fosters collaboration & encouragement. Continuous learning & engaging with my community uplifts me.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would strategically invest the funds to further develop my company “Corinne Cosmetics”. I would allocate a portion of the money to enhance my product line, focusing on ethical sourcing & sustainable materials to align my brand & values. Our motto states that we are “The Law of Beauty”. We provide organic products (toxin free). Additional funds would be used for our nonprofit organization (NCT) and its vision at www.newclarktemple.org.
