Who or what is your inspiration in business?

Our inspiration comes from the incredibly dedicated firefighters, military personnel and law enforcement officers we work with. We have worked very hard to design the best possible tools to increase their effectiveness at making rescues, reaching trapped victims and putting out fires. Nearly everyday our halligan tools are being used to help someone, however, we recently had a video posted of a person rescued from a submerged vehicle. These moments make all the hard work worthwhile.

How do you stay motivated?

Often engaging in training sessions is our favorite motivator. We travel to work hands on with firefighters and law enforcement to pass along the skills and knowledge we have gained in our careers so that they can be effective with the tools when it counts the most. When people tell us how much they like working with our tools or that they learned something valuable it is great motivation to keep pushing forward.

What would you do with the $25,000?

$25,000 would be a huge help to our business. To get started manufacturing tools we had to take a loan out to pay for forging dies that were very expensive. We are still working to pay off that loan, which hinders our ability to grow. To help fulfill larger orders we will need money available for inventory. We have seen that our customers love using our halligan tools and this money could allow us to reach more potential customers and have the inventory to fulfill their needs.
