Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My business inspiration is Issa Rae. She creates, produces and stars in original content for major brands around the world. Issa Rae also has her own production company. Hoorae Media garnered much success in a quick amount of time in Hollywood years. Formed in 2020 and formerly known as Issa Rae Productions. Their headquarters are located in Inglewood, California. Hoorae launched as an umbrella banner to consolidate her various film, television, and digital content companies.

How do you stay motivated?

I am motivated by the lack of television, digital and social media content that helps people mentally and spiritually. I had a vision to create a production company that would create content for mainstream media that keeps consumers entertained while simultaneously improving their overall mental and spiritual health.

What would you do with the $25,000?

We would use the grant money to purchase our logo trade mark, virtual address, business email address, business cards, annual taxes, hire a part time assistant, hire a lawyer to go over our legal documents and use it for Facebook and Instagram advertising. This would help boost the marketing for JBOYD Productions and give us the opportunity to reach more potential clients.
