Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

I want to ackowledge my mother, my cousin, and the army. My cousin was the original owner of a vegan store called Cogia, but after she passed I decided to continue her legacy because the name itself means butterfly which represents growth. My mother passing away from health complications further pushed me to promote the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. Lastly, the Army taught me discipline and resiliency, to create a brand that empowers health and wellness.

How do you stay motivated?

My husband, close friends, customers, and family members are a great support system, and they continously encourage me to push forward in expanding Cogia. I believe that the brand Im creating is powerful and has substantial meaning behind it to promote a healthier more inclusive community.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would expand Cogia's impact and reach. I'd first invest in increasing fitness designs, sourcing materials and enhance production. Moreover, host community fitness events to foster connections and by providing resources to further promote healthier lifestyles for everyone.
