Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My grandmother inspired me to create my brands. As a child, I watched her create recipes and teach us about healthy hair. That passion led me to hair school in high school and to launch Boomi Hair Cosmetics in 2017. With hard work, I scaled Boomi to Walmart.com. In 2019, I founded Naturale to help others start their own haircare brands, bridging the gap I faced starting out. My journey is rooted in family, resilience, and empowering others to succeed in the haircare industry and I'm loving it.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by my passion for helping others. When I launched Boomi I faced challenges with no guide to follow. As I grew, I saw so many aspiring entrepreneurs asking for advice, which inspired me to create Naturale. Naturale bridges the gap I once struggled to cross, offering support to those starting their own haircare brands. Today, seeing a wave of new creators and DIYers fuels my drive, reminding me this journey is bigger than me. Helping others turn dreams into success keeps me going.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With the $25k, I’d complete my Naturale warehouse in Indianapolis, IN, transforming it into a hub for entrepreneurs. The funds would go toward manufacturing equipment, heavy-duty shelving, a label printer, and finishing distributor kits to scale globally. I’d also build a dedicated training space where aspiring entrepreneurs can learn about formulating, scaling, and creating successful brands. Additionally, I’d dedicate $7k to grants for those needing a financial boost.
