What is the Entrepreneur of Impact?
Learn MoreI am inspired by the legacies of the heroes of the Negro League, Buffalo Soldiers and Tuskegee airmen, who have opened doors for generations of African Americans in sports and military. I am also driven by my customers, especially the younger generation, who proudly wear apparel that celebrates their history and motivates them to learn more about it.
How do you stay motivated?I stay motivated knowing that my company keeps black history alive in an unexpected way. Our stylish, high-quality apparel sparks conversations that might not otherwise happen. Additionally, as a licensed brand, we take pride in supporting the black historical museums and organizations that our apparel represents, knowing they receive recognition and funding through our clothing sales.
What would you do with the $25,000?If granted $25,000, we would use the funds for new product development, incorporating more elements of black history. We would also invest in upgrading our website and social media to enhance our online presence and boost sales. Additionally we'd strengthen the educational aspect of our business, focusing on teaching the younger generation through community-based initiatives.
