As a former foster youth that used to be homeless, I decided to open a nonprofit helping homeless family. I know what's like to lose your home unexpectedly and to feel stuck.
How do you stay motivated?I decided not to be a statistic as foster youth. Knowing God is my provider kept me going. He blessed me with amazing church family that has helped me heal, grow and thrive.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I had 25k, I would open a community resource center that would have services like mental health, DV survivor support groups, career services and more. I would help give house supplies to new renters in the program. I would open a program teaching adults of all ages how to open, run and keep a business. I would make sure it's accessible online. I would use the rest to build the resource center up.
