Who or what is your inspiration in business?

The three women who have inspired me in business first was Sojourner Truth who was able to win a lawsuit without a formal education, and fight for women to have the right to vote. The second one was Oprah Winfrey who climbed the ladder to success by standing up for righteousness and becoming a national icon, and the third was Michelle Obama, attended an HBCU, mastered the field that my father wanted me to pursue, becoming a lawyer, and eventually the First Lady of the United States of America.

How do you stay motivated?

By building a team of positive influencers and mentors who share my vision and encourage me to stay focused on my goals and to keep my eyes on the prize. I believe that I have an assignment to complete before my time clock runs out and every time I am able to sow into someone's life and bless somebody else by continuing to develop programs that enhance others lives is the thing that stimulates me the most. I enjoy feeling like I have made a difference in someone's life pattern. That's J-O-Y!

What would you do with the $25,000?

My dream is to launch the G.R.A.N. S.T.A.Y. Senior Lounge and a Youth Complex equipped to provide both educational and recreational enrichment activities to enhance the lives of grandparents raising grandchildren with limited financial assistance and provide free tutorial assistance for the children who are operating at or below grade level. We want to offer Fieldtrips to stimulate learning and become the go to avenue for families in need. I want Sojourner Truth to have our own free building.
