Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from my struggles, my family, and my desire to break generational cycles. Growing up in inner-city Chicago, I experienced firsthand the challenges of instability…foster care, adoption, and periods of homelessness. Substance abuse and interactions with the criminal justice system impacted my family deeply, and I saw how these struggles can derail people’s lives. Thankfully, I chose a different path. Instead of letting those circumstances define me.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by reflecting on where I’ve come from and the goals I’ve set for my future. I’ve seen firsthand what it means to persevere against the odds. Beyond my personal journey, my motivation comes from the desire to inspire and uplift others. I want to show my family, friends, and community that success is possible with hard work and determination. Knowing that my story can light a spark in others fuels me to keep pushing forward, even during tough times.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would invest directly into scaling my business and strengthening its foundation. My first focus would be enhancing the production and marketing of my brand, Debonair Men. Beyond growth, I want to use a portion of the funds to give back. I’m committed to creating resources for aspiring entrepreneurs & I want to be able to help others grow as well. Ultimately, this prize would help me expand my vision of success, impact my community, and leave a legacy for generations to
