Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

I come from a line of entrepreneurs. My grandparents owned/operated a café in Longview, Tx, my parents although retired after over 30 years of service to LA County governmental agencies, they both maintained side businesses. My inspiration comes from living the life I prefer to create daily. Watching my parents committed to careers all day & come home to run businesses, showed me both sides. They created an environment for me to create. I work hard for the vision God has put in me

How do you stay motivated?

My motivation grows from my desire to offer healthier alternatives to fast food. We do not claim to cure any dis-ease however, we have countless testimonies from our customers who have experienced improved quality of life after adding our fresh juices to their routines. These experiences (over 24yrs) make me yearn to continue to collect them. Fruits and veggies are here for us in abundance, and they aid us differently. I am encouraged daily by our customers from young toddlers to mature seniors.

What would you do with the $25,000?

We acquired a bookstore &evolved our concept from only a juice bar to include offering a hand-picked book inventory. Juice-C-Juice Books & More became the community information hub, we are a destination for the entire family. We are now under construction to open store #2 in Compton, while simultaneously expanding our Carson location into our flagship store to include a large training/prep kitchen. The cash would be used to help with build out & equipment/inventory acquisition. go
