Who or what is your inspiration in business?

As the Board Chair of the International Girls Academy, I am deeply inspired by the powerful words of Shirley Chisholm: “Service is the rent that we pay for our time on earth.” This statement is not only a guiding principle for me but also a reminder of the profound responsibility we all have to give back. It speaks to the idea that our time here is valuable, and the true measure of our success is how we uplift others, especially those who are coming up behind us.

How do you stay motivated?

As the Board Chair of the International Girls Academy, staying motivated comes from a deep sense of purpose and a commitment to our mission. I believe that leadership is about service, and the opportunity to positively impact the lives of young women is what fuels my drive every day. The girls we serve are not just the future—they are the present. When I see their potential, their dreams, and their hunger for opportunity, I am reminded of why this work matters so much.

What would you do with the $25,000?

A $25,000 investment would have a profound and far-reaching impact on the work we’re doing at the International Girls Academy. This funding would significantly expand our ability to support and empower young women, helping them realize their full potential and step into leadership roles in their communities and beyond. This investment would allow us to build a physical location to provide a safe space for students.
