My inspiration comes from our stories and the strength and resilience of Indigenous communities. I’m driven by our people's ingenuity, sustainable practices, and the abundance of generational knowledge. My parent's perseverance and belief in community also inspire me to push boundaries and create opportunities. Together, these influences motivate me to foster systemic change and support Indigenous entrepreneurs in building thriving, culturally grounded grassroots businesses.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by seeing the impact of my work empowering Indigenous businesses and shifting the narrative. Every small win reminds me of the bigger vision: realizing economic equity for Indigenous communities. Grounding myself in community, celebrating progress, and reflecting on the importance of each step keeps me focused. My mantra, "one box, one product, one story at a time," reinforces that even the smallest efforts contribute to lasting change toward equality.

What would you do with the $25,000?

The $25,000 would expand Indigenous Box’s capacity-building efforts. We’d develop training programs for small-batch suppliers, helping them meet export standards and grow sustainably. Additionally, we’d invest in logistics improvements to streamline operations and expand global reach. This funding would amplify our mission to foster economic equity, empowering more Indigenous businesses to succeed and share their stories worldwide.
