What is the Entrepreneur of Impact?
Learn MoreMy inspiration comes from the resilience of Black and Brown entrepreneurs who innovate against all odds. Growing up in Oakland, I saw firsthand the untapped potential in marginalized communities. My mission is to create pathways for these visionaries to thrive, knowing their success drives generational wealth and community impact.
How do you stay motivated?I stay motivated by my belief in equity and seeing lives transform through entrepreneurship. Witnessing the ripple effect of a founder’s success—creating jobs, inspiring others, and changing family legacies—fuels my drive. My son, Joaquin, reminds me daily why building a better future is worth it.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would invest the $25,000 in expanding ESO Ventures' debt fund, enabling more first-time entrepreneurs to access affordable capital. This funding would directly empower underrepresented founders to build sustainable businesses, driving economic growth and closing the racial wealth gap in our communities.
