Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

If I was restricted to choosing just one person as my biggest inspiration, I'd have to say Jesus is the one who inspires me the most. I love that he is accepting and loving towards everyone:even those who don't deserve his love. His heart of service, his charisma, and his passion to save the lost truly resonates with me. Somehow he always finds a way to turn my adversities into opportunities to serve and make a difference in my community, such as promoting unity and harmony to combat hatred.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated despite trials and difficulties because I know in due time I will reap a beautiful harvest if I don't give up. Above all, I stay motivated and never get tired of serving as much as it's in my capacity to do so because I know my labor is not in vain. The Lord will certainly reward my hard work granted my intentions are pure when I serve and I'm not advancing my personal agendas in the process of serving my community. Last but not least, I stay motivated because serving helps me.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I just recently signed a three year lease to open The Harmony Center. This multicultural center will serve as a multipurpose facility featuring event venue, indoor market and children play area, incubator kitchen and an ethnic food spot. With a $25,000 award, I would purchase furnitures, kitchen equipment and computers for our center to implement empowerment programs for youth and immigrant entrepreneurs , as well as offering communal meals to help combat food insecurity in Junction City, KS.
