Who or what is your inspiration in business?

I draw inspiration from my mother and daughter's unwavering strength as they stood by me through nearly 20 years of a wrongful conviction. Their faces remind me of resilience and love. My journey to exoneration fuels my passion for empowering others to overcome impossible odds. It's about transforming pain into purpose and inspiring others to persevere, no matter the challenge.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by remembering why I do this- turning my lived experience into purpose. I think about the people who are counting on me and the lives I've already been able to impact. On tough days, I remind myself how far I've come, where I come from and what I've come through. Seeing others overcome their struggles because of something I've shared or done keeps me going.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With 25K, Better Not Broken LLC would expand its programs to impact more lives. We'd invest in resources for mentorship, emotional intelligence training, and community violence intervention. Part of the funds would go toward hiring additional mentors and professionals to provide personalized support, while another portion would enhance our outreach efforts, ensuring we connect with more individuals in need. This funding would amplify our mission of helping people rebuild and thrive.
