Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from the kids I work with every day; they are my reason/purpose. All kids deserve to see themselves represented in books. It helps build confidence in themselves and connect with a character that resembles them. It teaches peers empathy, acceptance, and understanding that we are all unique. I would not be where I am today in this journey without my clients. They drive me to spread disability inclusion because it matters for them in their daily lives.

How do you stay motivated?

I have seen firsthand the difference my first few books have made in the lives of my clients. My motivation continues with each smile they can't wipe off their face because for the first time they see a character like them. My motivation is their parents hugging me in tears because for the first time, their kid feels seen and accepted. My motivation continues because the clients I work with want to be included, accepted, seen and heard. Our future depends on disability inclusion.

What would you do with the $25,000?

• apply as a reputable vendor with school districts to allow my books to be in school libraries/author visits • complete the illustrations, edits, and production for my last 7 characters: 3 are published • allow me the ability to travel for author visits to present the importance and values behind disability inclusion • purchase/distribute copies of books for the less fortunate/hospitals/churches • create disability-inclusive toys • continue to represent various d
