Who or what is your inspiration in business?

Nature inspires me daily to continue to learn and grow as a landscape designer. In the last 19 years, I have been diligently developing new techniques and designs to incorporate what’s consistently changing in our weather and climate so that I create sustainable solutions in the landscape. Anytime I see architecture, interior design, floral arrangements and even fashion, I immediately want to create something different and bold, but with quality and timeless design influences.

How do you stay motivated?

I am always staying motivated by watching project runway, social media and definitely my clients. My clients let me express myself outside the box and use my creativity so my soul is fulfilled. Going to trade shows or just driving through the nurseries to look at all the plants gets me so inspired and excited to create beautiful places for people to enjoy. I love watching a blank space come to life, and the reward is seeing people react to it in such a endearing way.

What would you do with the $25,000?

The reward would help me market my business and scale it to the level of customer service I would like to achieve. I want to be able to attend more trade shows and networking events to keep educating myself and also keep my branding relevant. My workers need new uniforms and they would appreciate new winter apparel. I would also invest in newer equipment to help with time efficiency on job sites.
