Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration is my little brother. He’s the first athlete I’ve been able to develop from youth hoops to a professional basketball player. As kids we went through a lot of things that most people wouldn’t have been able to turn into success stories like ours. I know that a lot of it was due to us having each other. I also believe that one great mentor for any kid can set up a positive pathway for their lives. I’m inspired to be that exemplary leader for all my athletes.

How do you stay motivated?

The success stories of people from all walks of life and types of businesses have always intrigued me. I’ve always been obsessed with their process of improvement no matter how big or small. All of them have a few things in common—consistent effort no matter the risk, and discipline to execute a measurable action plan. I do this for my athletes by creating goals and action plans for them to improve. Each minor and major goal that is reached is an amazing motivator for me to keep goin

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the $25,000 to help fund the physical, digital, and community infrastructure for my players. It would help fund a gym that we are in the process of building, it would help our athletes with travel expenses to tournaments and showcase events, it would help us create a digital platform for our athletes to track progress, as well as help connect our athletes to other great mentors and industry leaders to speak with them. This would be an amazing aid to help our athletes improve.
