Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

Women and moms. I watched my mom go 'back to school' in her 40's to study to become a financial advisor. She didn't know anything about the business and worked her ass off studying and aligning herself with a mentor. My kids also serve as inspiration. Kids soak up everything and watching their moms killing it at work and building businesses and creating is so Important.

How do you stay motivated?

I love what I do so staying motivated isn't a problem. I LOVE building. Remaining curious and trying new things is a great way to maintain that motivation. It allows my team and I the space to discover what kinds of projects we love and should focus on and the ones that might be better left to another team. Brainstorming on ways to grow our brand and presence is fun and exciting. You never know what new opportunities will present themselves.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest it right back into the business. I started this business as a single mom and now we are a team of 3 women plus all of our trusty trades. We get requests all the time from women wanting to work and learn how to build from us. We would all love to be training and teaching more women. Potentially running courses and creating more content to help people feel more competent and empowered. These funds would allow us to begin some of these initiatives.
