Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from my work as a deputy probation officer in Oakland, CA, where I witnessed countless kids meeting strangers online without their parents’ knowledge. These kids shared personal information through cell phones, iPads, and gaming devices provided by parents who weren’t monitoring or educating them about online dangers. This experience drives my mission to protect children and empower parents with the tools to keep their kids safe.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated when I see stories of children lured away by someone they met online. Teaching kids how to stay safe online not only protects them but their families too. It drives me to spread awareness and educate others. I’m also inspired during trainings when parents and kids thank me for teaching them how to stay safe online. Knowing I’ve helped protect even one child fuels my passion to keep going and make a difference.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would create my next book focused on bullying, host a free community workshop where parents receive a free book of their choice, and expand advertising to reach more families. This would empower parents, educate children, and raise awareness about bullying and online safety, ensuring families have the tools they need to protect their kids and create safer digital environments. Every dollar would go toward equipping families with the knowledge to thrive in a digital world.
