Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My primary source of inspiration in business is my mother. A refugee from Haiti, she arrived in the United States in 1987 without knowledge of the English language or any family support. Despite these challenges, she overcame numerous obstacles to become one of the most influential figures in the Haitian community. She founded and organized an annual awards show, hosted a radio program, and published a magazine. Even after her recent passing, her resilience continue to guide my business mindset.

How do you stay motivated?

Being an entrepreneur for over 15 years has been a challenging yet rewarding journey. Without the stability of a traditional 9-to-5 job to support my ideas, I’ve been able to build a business while raising three children. The passing of my mother, growing up in tough New York City, & losing friends have all tested my resilience. So with all these challenges, the only source of strength that has kept me moving forward is God. While it may sound cliché, I honestly cannot explain

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use it to get a Fresh start with my business. Combination of coming off a pandemic and my mom’s passing I got depressed and lost my motivation behind my business. I would use the money to finally open my own event space. Where I can continue to bring people together through my many events. A place I can call my own and open the doors to many other inspiring entrepreneurs from My city!
