Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

I was inspired to start my business after the birth of my first child. Unfortunately I had a very traumatic postpartum experience - I suffered from postpartum psychosis, causing me to be hospitalized and separated from my family (and it didn't help that it was the peak of COVID). I knew from that moment that I would end up here - supporting families to help set them up for success as they enter parenthood.

How do you stay motivated?

My motivation is my own kids - I want to be a role model and teach them the importance of making an impact in the world and following their passion. I also want to show them what it means to work hard and still have your own identity while being a parent. My other motivation is all parents out there, entering this messy and beautiful journey and sometimes (many times) facing challenges along the way. I want them to know they are not alone in this, and hope to support them however we can.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the $25,000 to help increase awareness of my business through various marketing efforts, so that parents know we are here to support them. I would also use part of the funds to subsidize perinatal mental health training for my team so that we can become experts in this area and be able to support several families from this lens.
