Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My mentors and other industry professionals who have set out on the same path I am on now. Companies like FABBRICK or Ecovative, both started as school projects, and like me, they eventually realized that nothing was stopping them from pursuing their dreams. Seeing each of their accomplishments inspires me and motivates me to keep going, to keep innovating and chipping away at every single hurdle.

How do you stay motivated?

What motivates me is the thought of the thousands, or hundreds of thousands if not millions of people I could help with my materials. So many materials on today's market claim to be healthy and sustainable and still use formaldehyde resins. MDF is still the industry standard and yet thousands and thousands of individuals get sick from it every year. It NEEDS to stop. Our homes shouldn't be filled with these materials containing such harmful, carcinogenic off-gassing materials.

What would you do with the $25,000?

The money would allow us to scale up production and help build more and more healthier spaces. We need equipment, certifications, and space, all of which cost money. The $25,000 may not cover it all but every bit certainly helps us take steps toward a healthier built environment. At MoRF Material LLC we aim to bring affordability to design by utilizing cellulosic waste streams in an aesthetic and versatile building material. Everything helps us get closer to achieving our goals.
