Who or what is your inspiration in business?

Harriet Tubman is my inspiration in business. She refused to be limited by slavery, disability, sexism, poverty or ageism. An literacy deprived, formerly enslaved woman sued the U.S. Government to be awarded her deceased third husband's military pension. She demanded fiscal compensation of a General for Union Army intel..and won! She mastered the pivot required for relevance without sacrificing community. Everyone won't go with you. Some places you must go alone. But keep going!

How do you stay motivated?

I don't try to stay motivated. I stay disciplined. Some days, and even weeks, I don’t feel exhilarated, impactful or excited. That's when I make myself "Do the disciplines. Feelings sold separately." There will always be tasks and responsibilities in life we're not thrilled by...but they still have to be done--by us! On low days, I redirect my energy to only 3 priorities for the day. Then I eat and take a holy nap.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With the $25,000, I will upgrade our tech infrastructure to remain sharp, fast & secure. We'll launch V.I.P Coaching products to normalize having direct, candid, conversations about experiences of trauma, hurt, misunderstanding, and even human trafficking.
