Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My late father was an entrepreneur who dedicated himself to uplifting his community. After the pregnancy with my child cured my neurological disability, I chose to pursue my ambition of following his legacy. Fern will grow up seeing me making an impact in my own way. I believe in the power of community and draw guidance from leaders such as Lisa Kember, Wes Hall, Michele Romanow, Simu Liu and others who also strive for impact. To learn from those who came before me is important.

How do you stay motivated?

Knowing that my brand is making a difference and stands for something more than itself is motivating. I offer a sustainable, ethically made product while supporting charity. I also love designing custom styles for my clients. The ongoing encouragement and support from my community is a motivational powerhouse. I know that there are a lot of people cheering for me to succeed. My heart is filled with gratitude and hope as I work to build my brand with their evergreen support.

What would you do with the $25,000?

This funds will be put towards hiring towards increased sales calls and tradeshow attendance. The power of people working towards a common goal is how the business will grow. Pomp & Sass is at a point where we need visibility to boost our success. Our systems are prepared, we are ready to make our mark.
