Who or what is your inspiration in business?

Success is my constant inspiration. I’m inspired by the creative problem solving part of being an entrepreneur. There is nothing more satisfying than creating something successful and functional that is designed in a unique way and then honed to precision. I particularly enjoy overcoming challenges related to looking a problem from a different perspective, and trying new solutions that seem outside of the box. Bonus points if it’s been said it can’t be done.

How do you stay motivated?

By digging deep into my values and operating with integrity. We prioritize our canine clients experience, our employees care, and continuing education as the three pillars of my business model. I’m motivated by how we change the lives of our canine clients and our employees, and how as a result we are impacting our industry, which in turn impacts pets wellbeing around the country.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I’d launch a Pawsitive Handling Certification program to teach our techniques on a larger scale. We can offer both individual stylist and full salon certifications. These certifications would teach my methods for listening to, communicating with and handling the pets so that pet grooming can be a comfortable bonding experience instead of a necessary evil.
