Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

We are inspired by Richard Branson and his philosophy of giving back, we believe at Tropic Shark that donating back to causes that help preserve shark populations are vitally important - we partnered with several organizations committing a percentage of profits to give back. We believe that better energy drinks start with better ingredients, we crafted unique, delicious and compelling formulas that dont contain the harmful chemicals and additives found in most other beverages in the space.

How do you stay motivated?

My partner Jon and I work everyday on all aspects of the business. Between jumping off calls with our marketing team and our manufacturer preparing for production and working with influencers, we always take a step back and look at the bigger picture, are we making a difference? Will we create a brand that brings awareness to our oceans. We always keep our core competencies in mind and delegate everyday for what’s the next right action we have to take to finish the task.

What would you do with the $25,000?

We are on the cusp of starting production in Lexington KY. We are spending capital right now to raise awareness around the brand on social media, and completing our meetings with several grocery store chains and other retailers. We would use the money to help fund our first large scale shipment of the product, we had our friends and family round, next we will be raising capital with investors. Winning the $25,000 will help us with production as we enter contracts with our vendors.
