Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration is my Nanna Bonnie Jean Montford. Her being an entrepreneur bridging gaps and overcoming racial barriers through owning successful spas and salons in the 70s-present showed me that you can overcome poor beginnings and never allow stereotypes to hinder you. With clients and staff of all races throughout the years she was my first representation of a woman in business. I remember one day watching her do nails for a private client and told myself I would too get paid for my skills.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated through loving what I do and staying true to my mission of serving my community and others with my skills. God made me one of a kind with a purpose to help others build and see their dreams come true! God is my biggest advocate and motivator as business honors Godly principles when you operate with purpose, a heartfelt mission and integrity the reward is joy, strength and a love that cannot be explained for your gifts and abilities God gave you. That keeps me motivated and more!

What would you do with the $25,000?

Upon winning the 25K I will pay my assistant a yearly salary to ensure He is well taken care of as he has been a blessing to me. I would invest in website upgrades, ads and systems to reach more small businesses online and in person. I would also invest in a proper accounting software or CPA to understand my scalability better. Finally I would build/start investing in creating an app (my own CRM) or whitelist more services to better help my clients and new clients I acquire.
