Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

I tend to draw inspiration from various aspects in life, however my two biggest inspirations in business are my family and friends. The reason is because they have been supportive through all of my endeavors along with life’s obstacles. With the encouragement of my loved ones and the confidence they have in me I have the ability to push my boundaries. I created Dead Face Society because I believe fashion to be art in one of its highest forms of self expression on all spectrums.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by maintaining a positive attitude, focusing on my goals, and by keeping healthy energy around me. It is easy to get discouraged as an entrepreneur because every business faces challenges but this has only taught me to embrace the challenges as opportunities to grow and innovate. I also constantly remind myself self of why I created my company and the values that we represent. Most importantly I keep in mind that I want to make beneficial impact to my community.

What would you do with the $25,000?

First I would spend 30% on product development by sourcing new fabrics, acquiring new patterns or designs. Then 25% of the funds towards branding and marketing through influencer partnerships, paid ads, optimizing my website, and hiring a brand expert to better enhance my brand identity. Thirdly 20% towards inventory and custom packaging. After 10% is towards retail partnerships and organized events. The remaining 15% will be divided with 5% towards hiring staff and 10% for contingency.
